Product Description

1.1 Standard configuration:
(1) GP9060 rectifier module: 4 Nos
(2) GP9060 monitoring module: 1 Nos
(3) GP9060 subrack

1.2 Main Features
GP9060 applies to elevate the voltage at the central office for the purpose of supplying power for remote communication equipment.

1.2.1 Operation principle
The power system elevates output voltage of 48V battery or DC 48V cabinetized power system to DC 280V to power the remote power units. The rectifier module sends the data to PC through the controller, and forms a monitoring system. There will be power derating while the power system works at 55ºC or above.
Note: The output of the remote power system is high DC voltage, so the inductive load such as industrial frequency transformer is not allowed to apply, to avoid damage caused by heat generated by DC inductance. Loads at central office shall form a complete set with those at remote side.

Note: The protection set point for current limiting is preset for 280V output voltage as required by customer, so the voltage shall not be much increased during operation, otherwise, the output will exceed rated power.

1.3 System installation
The monitoring module and DC rectifiers of GP9060 are installed in main cabinet before transportation.
As following figure:

1.3.1 Process of electric connections
Electric connection between main cabinet and external component includes: connection of DC input line, connection of DC output and connection of communication cables, connection of GND cables. The main requirements of electrical connection are safety and reliability. Operate as following:
  1. DC input cable connections (The cable section shall be copper line of 12mm2 above.)
The connector of DC input shall be of bolt type. Peeled cable can be directly placed under the pad, and then tighten the screw.
  1. Connection of load cables
The load connection terminal of power system is 380V OUT, locating below the back panel of the system. The cable can be directly inserted into the connector.
a. The specifications and model of the cables shall be according to the engineering design requirements.
b. Connect one end of positive cable to "+" of system back panel. (The cable section shall be copper line of 6mm2 above.)
c. Connect one end of negative cable to "-" of system back panel. (The cable section shall be copper line of 6mm2 above.)
Note: The DC output is high voltage operating line. Be sure that the DC input is cut off before implementing any operations. Warning signs shall be tagged to the switches that should not be touched during operating process.
AC terminals and other unnecessarily bare part shall be strictly insulated.

 
  1. Connection of GND cables
Connect the earthing point of main cabinet to external bus bar with wire of 12 mm2 above.
 
  1. Connection of communication cables
RJ45-communication cable terminal of GP9060, locating on lower right of the back panel functions for RS485 communication with the host.
RS485 communication mode:
A. Connect one end of communication cable to RS485 on back panel of GP9060;
B. Connect the other end of communication cable to RS-485 of the host. "+", "-" of RS485 in GP9060 respectively corresponds to "+", "-" cable of RS-485 in the host.

1.3.2 Checking after installation
(1) Check the stability of sub rack and each component.
(2) Check the conformity of colors of DC lines, the firmness of original wiring of rack.
(3) Check if the polarity of output cable is identical with signs on the chassis.
(4) All switches in position of disconnection.

1.4 Installation of monitoring and rectifier module
Handles on panel of rectifier module and monitoring module are equipped. When inserting component into the main cabinet, the operator shall clutch the handle with one hand while holding it with the other hand. Slowly push the component into its slot until the connection terminal on back of the component inserted into corresponding socket of system bar in the main cabinet. Finally, finish the installation by firmly fixing the screw on the panel to the main cabinet.
When removing component from the main cabinet, first screw off the bolt on panel then slowly remove the component from its slot while clutching the handle.

Note: The rectifier of GP9060 is pluggable, however, only after the power switch is off, the module can be inserted.
